Instructions on applying The Striper stencil tape for paint pinstriping your vehicle.

Step 1
Wipe down the area of the vehicle that's going to be pinstriped with a grease and wax remover. Dry off with a clean soft rag. Pass over it again with the rag to remove any haze and film residue.

Step 2
Apply the stencil tape, readjusting as needed to get desired stripe placement. The stencil tape for paint pinstriping is flexible and stretches. Once the stencil tape is in place, pat it down to prevent shifting out of position.

Step 3
Remove clear carrier tape by stretching it away from the tan strips. Make sure you separate all the tan strips from the clear tape or if you leave some, you will have a problem with the roll of tape when you use it next time, because some of the tan strips will end up on the top of the clear instead of the bottom where they belong, and you will think the roll is defective. With clean hands, using your thumb, press the tan strips down on the vehicle for good adhesion to prevent paint from bleeding under the tape.

Step 4
Prepare points by cutting the middle stencil strip to a point with a razor blade or an Exacto knife and bring the outer stencil strips to a point. Where panels and car doors meet, use the dull end of the razor to push tape inward to prevent bleeding when you are painting.

Step 5
Paint in between the lines of the stencil. After painting, peel the stencil tape strips off the vehicle to see the results - beautiful, painted pinstripes. It is better to remove the stencil strips before the paint is dry so that the paint flows and does not dry conforming to the tape, leaving you a high edge.
